  • Evelyn "Evie" Rogers

    Evelyn "Evie" Rogers

    Gender:
    Female
    Age:
    26

Evelyn has been around cars all her life. Her father ran a shop in her hometown in upstate New York that her two older brothers were frequent assistants in, and she had, essentially, grown up in it. Not wanting to be outdone by her teasing brothers, she was as much under the cars as they were as soon as she was old enough. Of course, as much as she loved working on and modifying cars, she loved driving them just as much. When the craze of drifting had made its way from Japan to the streets of the United States, she had taken to it instantly. By the time she was eighteen, the running joke amongst her group of friends was that if it was rear wheel drive, had a handbrake and a limited-slip differential, she could drift it; this was also on course with the other joke that if something had a motor and wheels, she could fix it, mod it, and make it certifiably "fast as hell". Of course, that didn't stop her from other styles of driving, either, simply enhanced her skills (but, in her words, "If there's a turn I know I can drift without losing time, I'm takin' it"). By the time she was twenty-two, she moved out to California to work in a friend's shop and quickly helped to make a name for the new business. Her excursions out into the racing realm not only made a name for herself as a driver, but also as a tech. Her personality favors the strong, silent side, at least at first. Her exposure to the "business end" of cars encouraged the development of her ability to study and read people, getting a fairly accurate handle on them very early on and not truly opening up until she feels comfortable to do so. Despite this and her otherwise fairly calm demeanor, she's quite foul-mouthed when provoked and has a sharp, sarcastic wit more often than not. But she's loyal to her friends, and isn't afriad to throw a few punches where warranted. She is the first to admit that she appreciates and can respect all walks of the automotive life - from Japanese, to German, to Italian - but for herself, has always felt most at home behind the wheel of American cars.
