Charlotte "Charlie" Elliott met Ryan Fitzpatrick her first day at Harvard. He was a senior, and she was just a freshman. The two quickly became inseparable. This changed after he was drafted into the NFL at the end of his senior year. She saw him on and off through the years, but it happened less and less as her college years wore on. She graduated Harvard with a degree in Business Economics, and she obtained a job with the Houston Texans, where she met J.J. Watt a year later. Things seem to be looking up for her as their relationship grows - until the Texans acquire Ryan through a trade.

June was Charlie's roommate in college. The two stayed friends after college, despite the distance of June moving to Seattle and Charlie moving to Houston. June got married after a year of being out of Harvard, and she has a little boy named Dean. She finished up Harvard with a degree in bioengineering, and she loves watching documentaries on Netflix.

Olivia is Charlie's younger sister. She currently attends Boston University and is working toward a Bachelor's degree in behavior and health. After the death of her brother, she is inspired to help kids in families with drug problems. She looks up to her sister. Though the two were not close as kids, she looks to Charlie for advice and has become closer to her since attending college.

Liza met Ryan in Cincinnati after his breakup with Charlie. The timing wasn't right for the two, but they ran into each other in New York and dated for a couple years after that. She helped Ryan move on from Charlie, but ultimately, she didn't love him like he loved her. She is a nurse in Buffalo, now married to a city planner.
