Shira has always been known as a gorgeous girl, and typically blossomed into an Goddess-like woman. With her long dark black locks, model perfect body, husky voice and emerald dazzling eyes, she's used to the world bowing at her feet. Then, life throws her a curveball. She is diagnosed with larynx cancer and soon comes to realize she has done nothing with her life. She looks to heal with her physician, Dr Ash Cameron, a mystery of a guy she can't seem to keep her legs closed for. Despite her moral code, Shira plans to seduce the married man. She is cold and calculating, and distant from those who love her, believing they are not around her by choice. Selfish yet loyal, she sometimes poses a self-contradiction, but will go out of her way to prove her worth. Shira had been in a toxic relationship with Ben for eight years, breaking up two years prior the story. Since then, her search for intimacy has been in the arms of many men.

Ash Cameron is a smart man, if not a genius in his profession. He graduated in the top ten percentage of his medical school and is now rich, fully to his success. He has eyes so light they are white, almost fading in completely to his sclera. Tall (roundabout 6"5), with a complimentary physique and big hands, he normally ties his hair back, which is the color of the palest snow. He is rude, arrogant and aware of his skills as a doctor. He is impatient, yet sensitive if the situation calls for it. He believes he has had a very decent life, so when Shira becomes his patient, he realizes he may have missed out on a harsh reality. Despite firstly pushing Shira away, his lust for her overcomes him and he allows her to consume him. His marriage to Amy soon suffers due to this.
