Lively, bouncy and inquisitive. He likes to know and isn't afrid to take risks. His downside is that he tends to say what he thinks, and does a lot of things because it's the 'spur of the moment'. This gets him into trouble a lot. He has an awful relationship with his dad who often beats him because of walking in on him having sex with a guy a few years ago. He later discovers that him and Jake have something in common, that Jake's mum was abusive to Jake like his father is to him.

Quite laid back and reserved but can be the life of the party at times. Has had a really rough childhood, but is closer to his best friend than anyone could imagine. He falls for people very easily, but because of his life so far it's hard to earn his trust. If you break his trust, it's hard to get it back.

Everyone thinks he's straight, he has kept his secret so that he wouldn't get into shit like one of his best friends, Aiden, did. Sure, he loved girls and has had his fair share of girlfriends but I guess you could call him the closet bisexual. He is a lot quieter than the rest of his friends, including Jake when he first arrives in Alma, and when they think they know him they might just discover that they don't.

A year above her best friends Rain is in her final year of high school. She is about to start at Alma Collage - which is mighty expensive but her parents are very well off. She is extremely nice, but doesn't get involved with people and finds it hard to make new friends. She's really good looking and ges a lot of attention from guys who only want to get in her pants. She's also a lot cleverer than most people give her credit for, and sees right through a guy's 'nice' disguise.
