HAHA chapter four was so freaking funny.God thats just gold pure freaking gold and funny.I was going "oh my god" dude that has got to be weird to explain.
Question...Are you gonna post more...i hate to hassle you but i love it =) im hunting for it on the other site...but i cant find it. i LOVE LOVE LOVE it...so please update soon?
(I know I posted this on the other site, but it should be here, too.)
I like this chapter because it gives more insight into Nick, and into his and Joe's relationship. I like how we're taken through the day and all the little details are given throughout which elaborate on Nick's character. (I figure I should explain why I liked the 'tantrum' line) because it says, it "only" lasted fifteen minutes. Shows that tantrums can be much worse when coming from Nick. My favorite lines:
"It's Tuesday," he reminds me.
purple bowls, for breakfast time
the added distress of accidentally putting something on backwards.
The tantrum only lasted
I'm internally disappointed in myself.
not only the loss, but also the amount of change.
I can't find it in myself to wish it hadn't happened.
I really like the beginning (first two paragraphs.) I had to read it three times to fully grasp it. At first, I thought Joe was looking at someone else, and I was pleasantly surprised when it turned out he was looking at his own reflectiong and describing himself. I like the point of his running behind his desired schedule. That word really stuck out to me. I enjoyed the whole interaction between Joe and Jody because it was realistic. Things are bound to be awkward in that sort of situation, especially when one (Joe) is pre-occupied and the other (Jody) is at ease. The only thing that confused me is why Joe leaves his house, goes to get coffee, and then heads back towards (presumably) his house. Wouldn't it make more sense for him to have a coffee maker at his house? Was he house sitting? That's the only thing that I'd like to be more clear. Other than that, I like how this is written and I'm looking forward to more. My favorite lines:
my life is run by the clock.
the blinking red light that means the home is protected
Two minutes that have the potential of making all the difference.
