Honestly I forgot about this story, I had to read the first chapter again; as I read the memory of it seeped back through.
This is a great story, and I know it may not seem much (especially from a complete stranger) but, I'm sorry; I'm sorry for what you've been through in that rough time, I'm sorry that you have had to experience it and always have that in your memories. I hope the ups to it all shined over the downs. :)

But, seriously, this is excellant. I admire your talent. I would never be able to write a historical and be as accurate as you.
The first chapter was heartbreaking, but it makes you want to read more, just so it gets happier.
