And to be totally honest with you, i've never quite got the hang of semi-colons. But i'm starting to use them more now so hopefully we won't get that again.

Very nice. I think this is in general pretty well-written. The only thing I found to be a bit awkward was that a few sentences were too long, or better broken up with semicolons and dashes rather than commas. And, oh yeah...did she say May was a day?
