*blinks* Wow. This is an interesting story. I mean that in a good way. I'm just not used to reading stories that are about real life that are written well.

(Note to self: dangling modifier there. Fix it.)
Anyway, very nicely done. I like it. Sorry about the non-descriptive review; I've never been good at those.

"Everyone just seems to love him. Men, women, cats, dogs, birds... the list goes on. I think it’s because he’s got enough personality for a small village."

I loved that line. I'm not sure why, but it was a smile moment for me. ^.^

I really liked it I read the last chapter like you said, I thought it was good emotion and descriptions all were there. Great job once again.

I read all three chapters in one go. It was so good that I just couldn't stop.
I read a book once, I can't remember the title, that was about these street kids. It was so well-written it made me cry and your story reminds me of that.
It's true that it takes a lot of self-respect to deal with and accept the fact that you have nothing. Otherwise they would go home (?) or go to a shelter or something.
You made it really real. A lot of the times "hooking" stories turn into this really cliche bullshit thing. Ryan was talking about how Brendon was different than most guys, but at the end he wasn't proposing and talking about how changed he was. He was still rather crude. That's real and human and I love it.
