    Comment Swap brought me here...

And I am having flashbacks. Your story makes my chest and heart hurt to the point where I don't know what to do or say. What I do know is that you have a voice and it's here on mibba, ringing loudly for the rest of us to hear.

Keep strong. If you're gonna hang around for the Rollercoaster called life, you're gonna need the strength. You have people who want to continue to hear your story! Don't give up on your story; your life.

I lost it at the last chapter because I went through that too. In my case I kept calling friends, and I was called a whore for it. I know what it's like to live with a crazy mother too...this is so close to home and I honestly hope you continue.

By the way you're Mexican-American? I'm a Mexican born in Mexico but immigrated here...so I can relate to a lot of this. Damn, so many kudos muñequita, your writing style is impacting and the right tone for all of this.

each chapter left me wanting to know more, i could see everything, almost as if i was right there watching,
please keep adding more, this really brought up some intense feelings of when i was little, since im the youngest in my family i know what its like to not understand things and to be protected, yet wanting to protect someone else. i really hope you write more chapters!

This is was just a lot. I think in the beginning you don't have to have an intro... just like the time period. Some stuff isn't as important as the meat of the subject, ya know? This brought back my own memories as a child with my brother. You have a nice way of showing what is going on, I knew exactly that you're brother was helping you. Just don't stop writing this, keep writing how you feel.

Wow. That was an intense read. The short sentences was a really good way to make it more emotional. Edgar protecting Nena - that really reminded me of when my brother did that for me when my parents fought. Really powerful stuff.

This is certainly interesting, that's for sure. It's a bit confusing though, since not a lot is explained. I kind of feel like a lot is left to the imagination here, at least for background information. Details of the events you're describing though are great; you definitely use them well all throughout this so far.

    Wow.
To be honest, I almost didn't make it past your mom: that struck a little too close to home or me. I'm glad you didn't allow your circumstances to determine your future.
