You've captured the true essence of what Angie must be feeling. I mean could you imagine how hard it would be to be moved around from place to place like that and never know when you'd have to move to somewhere else new? She's wise in her years Angie is, and devoted to Johnny too. Just as Johnny seems devoted to her. I mean most kids, even siblings if they found a good home that made them happy wouldn't want to leave it, so the fact he would have none of them being split up says a lot about him so far.
The way you've developed the relationship between Johnny and the other guys and managed to fit Angie in there was well, made my heart flip flop. They've had such a hard time of things, so even though she says she's leaving when she turns 18 I think it will be much harder now that she's bonded with the Baker's. And knowing how close Johnny is to them all now may make him want to stay as well. Hehe to her hitting Brian. I would have reacted the same way if I had a brother and one of his friends did that. Besides, Brian was a cocky fucker back in those days, even more so than now, so I could see this happening as if playing out on the screen of my monitor.
Glad to see Brian get his head out of his arse and actually apologize to Angie. I get want to know more about someone but sometimes you can't push things like that, you have to let the person build up enough trust to want to tell you. And can you blame Angie for not wanting to talk about it? I mean, I totally understood what both she and Johnny feel on their birthdays and other holidays. It's hard. Even for me, it's been 16 years since my mom passed away, and almost 2 for my father and even if I'm grown up and have a family of my own now, it doesn't ever lessen the emptiness I feel when those times of the year come around. You captured that beautifully, wifey. You really did.
I bet that extra money is for moving out when she turns 18 isn't it? But even if it's not you've got to give her respect for wanting to work and earn money of her own, because something tells me she really doesn't have to. Still though, major props to her for that. Oh we have a new man added to the mix. What is it about those college guys that just drive women crazy. Mike sounds like a nice guy though. Uh oh, Brian I could sense having a tiny crush on her, but didn't see Jimmy. I mean he does tease her a lot, but that's part of Jimmy's charm. Sounds like things are about to get a little complicated and heated...
Yeah, there is a definite connection between her and Mike there, and it sounds like it's a pretty strong one, so I'm glad they finally kissed. Did I just say that? Jimmy saying he's always the best friend, broke my heart, because he sort of always is, but in this case, I don't think Angie feels that way about either him or Brian, and there is nothing wrong with that. Friendship is important too, as Angie stated. That being said I don't want her to give Jimmy false hope either, if she wants to pursue this with Mike she should, but she needs to be honest with Jimmy and even Brian, if his crush is as strong.
Now you knew this was coming so don't even act surprised...you simply must continue with this one, or else I'm gonna have to come hunt you down, wait that might make you refuse to continue with this. So I'm going to get on my knees and plead with you to think about starting on this one again. It has so much potential and it's one of my favs of yours so far, even if it isn't exactly a romance story, yet. Sometimes the story of friendship is just as important and you've got that in spades with this so it deserves a proper ending at least. So please? With a whipped creamed covered Brian? Consider giving this another shot....I NEEDS it. <333
Aww poor Jimmers :( At least he's okay with being her friend (on the outside, anyway). For some reason, I don't think Brian will be as understanding. I don't know what gives me that impression, but the fact that he out of nowhere decided to apologize to her back at the party and then befriend her obviously means he has some sort of feeling for her. Anywhoo, enough of my speculation. Lovely update, hun, and I can't wait for the next!
Because it's really good... XD Ah, Mike. He wouldn't happen to be based off one Mike Dirnt would he? XD Lol, anywho, they totally like her. Pft. Haha! Loved the update. :] More soon!
Of course! Eight months is fine...I've got stories on hiatus since last November. :P But anywho, loved the update! I'm glad they're friends now. :] More soon!
Woo! Go Angie! I'm glad she socked him one. It's about time someone stuck up for Johnny. I totally understand the while hiatus thing, and I hope you can get inspiration back soon! I'll still be waiting for this. :D
*punches fist into air* YES! SOMEONE PUNCHED BRIAN! Ha, I love that guy, but still...pretty freaking hilarious when he gets beat up. Especially by a girl! Ah, that's great. And I understand the whole having-to-put-it-on-hiatus deal...I'm going through it too--as I'm sure you well know--and it's frustrating but sometimes necessary to get your thoughts in order. I'll be waiting patiently while you figure the story out. =} Loved it!
I love how Angie stood up to Brian, what an ass, especially with how he treated Johnny. I hope getting punched is going to make him realise that he can't mess with her.
And it's a shame you're going on hiatus with this one hun, because as with all your other stories, I love it. However, I do understand where you're coming from with how the words just won't flow right...we all go through it.
I'll still be here, waiting, whenever you're ready to update next :) xx
