I am going to try to write you a proper review for this, baby. Note that I said “try” meaning that it will probably turn out like absolute shit and my usual rambling, but hey. I’m going to do my best. :tehe: :lmfao
First thing about this fic that sparks my interest is that it’s called Dirty. And it’s rated NC-17. So my hopes are high that there’s going to be hot, steamy Gerbert sex. OR, maybe it’s called Dirty because there’s actual dirt in it? Like, what if Gerard and Bert were mud wrestlers and then one night they just lost it and had hot, steamy sex. :yah OK, I said I wasn’t going to ramble and I already am. It’s just that… it’s been such a long time since I read a decent fic, and it’s written by YOU! so, I’m double excited. :XD
Okay, now I’m actually looking at the story and IT’S TOTALLY THE OLD LAYOUT FOR CAN I MEET YOU, ALONE?. Oh my gosh, memoriiiiies. You realize it was this time last year that we were first speaking? Oh my god. It’s only been a year? Sometimes, it seriously feels like I’ve known you for ages. ANYWAY, I love this layout. It makes me happy. It’s simply gorgeous.
The summary is perfect and it makes me wanna read moremoremoremore but it’s not cheesy like most summaries that you see are. I liiiike. :weird

IT STARTS WITH A BANG! I love that. I hate being gradually dropped into things, I just want to dive right in. So, this was good. And intriguing. It’s a Gerbert but they’re talking about females? I’M EXCITED, BB.
In my drunken haze the lines of anger creasing up his skin seemed to curve into soft caramel swirls and breaking up his Caucasian face.

OH MY GOD I AM IN LOVE WITH THAT. AND YOU! SOFT CARAMEL SWIRLS! That line is just so beautiful, I absolutely love it. I always love the way you describe Gerard, by the way. You know his face. ANGRY GERARD! That’s such a great line, too. Gosh, I’m stunned at this so far. It’s just so perfect in every way. Wow.
The dialogue in this is soooo lovely. It’s totally believable and it makes me picture both Bert and Gerard speaking with British accents, which—oh my god—is the single most sexy thing ever. It shows that I’m a typical sucker for an accent, huh? Well, anyway. I’m in looooove with this. And I’m rambliiiiing uncontrollably. baha. :XD
The lines on his face were crossing over each other now. Instead of waves they were tight coils full of energy just waiting to be released. Soon it’s not just the lines twisting further, his eyes are bleeding and popping out of their sockets. They were dropping to the floor and his entire face was falling off, blood pouring from his wounds and seeping through the cracks in his skull.
Yes, that entire paragraph required copying and pasting because HOLY SHIT. That scared me but was awesome at the same time. Holy hell. Usually I’m not much into things like that but the way everything was worded was so good. It wasn’t overly gorey but it had this creepy feel to it at the same time like, holy shiiiit.
there was no way in hell a guy like Gerard would let that be an excuse.
That’s such a great read of Gerard’s character, I can totally see him not letting anyone get away with shit like that in real life. And Bert’s guilt but still somewhat confusion and hangover is all just wonderful. Baaaaaaah. (L)(L)(L)

That was so perfect and beautiful. Bert there with confused, open eyes and Gerard’s all clenched shut as he rubbed patterns on Bert’s cheek. That’s such a beautiful image. I kind of want to draw it, even though I’d probably murder both of their faces. :XD :tehe:He was… trembling. His hands rubbed up and down, gradually turning inwards and dragging my legs apart. He looked up at me, his eyes begging the question. I gave him my answer by pulling his head forward, and for the first time I kissed him.
That was so beautiful. AWW. Those awkward and scary moments and then the kiss again when Bert was trying to tell Gerard that it would be okay and that he cared for him, too. AWW! I LOVE THIS SO MUCH OMFG.
He simply chuckled, “best friends are always there for each other, right? I needed that.”

Okay, the dynamics of their relationship in this were so incredible. They have such a realistic friendship: they fight one minute and make up the next and take care of each other but with that same playfulness that you would expect from each of them.
You tied the prompt in beautifully and cleverly. Everything about this was so creative and made my heart swell up until it felt like it would burst out of my chest.
I broke my own ‘no rambling’ rule, but oh well. :tehe: You kind of had to have expected that, right? :lmfao
