The Lost Boys - Comments

As a stand alone its a good story, if altered a bit more to be an original fic, it could be great. As a Lost Boys fic.... I'm not feeling it. Its' not the altering of the story line, as AUs do that, but it's that the key elements that made up the movie The Lost Boys are gone.

The mates thing I get, but the need to slaughter the family? There's other ways to do such a tragedy without changing the basic elements of the movie, such as being bitten/ drinking vamp blood will turn someone. And the initiation (which symbolized gang hazing.)

Even if David didn't have a direct hand in and didn't actually do the killing, David and the boys where part of her familys' slaughter. No one would ever forgive something so tragic done to them, it wouldn't be logical for her to fall in love with David, because every time she'd look at David Max and the boys it would be a constant reminder of hearing her family being mercilessly killed. Something that traumatic would never leave her, more so because her TWIN was killed.

Twins have a very close relationship (sometimes even said to be near psychic of each other) loosing a twin if they where identical would be like loosing a piece of herself. (though if identical, Mike would have been a chosen whatever like his sister, cause identical twins come from the same exact egg so essentially Mike would be like a male extension of her.) killing twin either way would be pretty much devastating, without the rest of the family dieing. No plausible way could this girl love David for his hand in their deaths.

Also her son is to thrown in, doesn't hold much sense. Cause if her family had to die, her son would have been family, so the sons not dead, means she should turn very livid and enraged because her family needing to die was all lies perpetrated by Max.

There's also the fact she still has a father in Phoenix, who didn't get slaughtered.

There could been other ways to taken a tragic toll on the girl, without taking the story from its roots as being base don the Lost boys as well as making things where david and her having a relationship making sense by David not havign a hand in thier death.

As I said, good as a stand alone, but not so much as a Lost Boys fic.

The Lost boys is one of the best fucking movies ever but changing it....i don't think so

David didn't want ot hurt her in the first place, but he had to do it I guess. *shrugs* But maybe they'll fall in love. *smiles* And at the end of the chapter he kissed her, which I thought was sweet. :)

I love how this story is turning out. The Lost Boys has always been one of my favorite movies and I love Max having a twin and the whole "the one" connection with David.

Mia and Max....getting in an argument....well staring contest....that was good. :p David and Mia are gonna like each other....and I hope the boys don't die in the story. I hated it when they died in the movie. But yeah, liked the chapter! ^_^
