He laid her on the bed and then lied down next to her, stroking her long black hair.
I think you might have meant to say, lay down next to her. That was all I noticed, I find it sad how Tom keeps running to Meg when she is lying through her teeth. It's scary how real and true some of these things are. But I adore this story, as I am a sucker for historical fiction.August 20th, 2009 at 02:30am -
I don't really know what to say. I loved the foreshadowing at the start of the chapter, I hate how Meg is starting to become like Anne in some ways. Anne is such a character, I loved the conversation between Anne and Catharine. I also like how you ended the chapter in a letter to Mary. For an eleven year old, Elizabeth has seen a lot in her young life... it makes you feel sympathetic towards her. Great chapter update, =)August 8th, 2009 at 06:20pm

:file: You and I both. This doesn't get appreciated.- cynicalqueen:
- The second book is just phenomenal. I wish more people read this and spoke their minds about it. It's so sad, Meg should really be honest with Tom and Anne is so condesending towards Elizabeth. But I really enjoy reading this, =)

Thanks :cute:- cynicalqueen:
- Maybe Henry's perspective? I find it a little more logical because I (the reader) have no idea what's going on in that man's mind.
I'll write his part in tonight!August 1st, 2009 at 02:45am -

Yes of course :cute:- cynicalqueen:
Just a typo I noticed, weak instead of week. I can't believe it's over already! I eally love this story... and find it so amazing how you tied the past and present together. Meg and Tom are adorable, but William's comment made me laugh. It was also really sweet when the Queen asked Elizabeth if she was jealous or not. I quite enjoyed this story, is it to be continued?- Quote

There are two more books in the series.July 29th, 2009 at 02:30am -

I adore your comments, they just make my day :cute:- cynicalqueen:
I thought that was such a beautiful scene. It's nice to see Elizabeth with another friend, and it was also disheartening when she became jealous of the lady-in-waiting. I felt sympathetic whenever Elizabeth was thinking of Hannah, it's sad how such innocence can be lost. Another amazing chapter, amazingly well-written.- Quote
- “Seems only those that lost some of their own truly understand the pain of another,” Meg declared, wiping tears from her own eyes.
“Yes, it does seem so.”

So sad, especially the scene with Tom and Elizabeth at Hannah's grave. It's saddening to hear Anne talk about Mary in that way, but they were basically rivaling for the king's affection. Lovely chapter, beautifully written as always.July 25th, 2009 at 11:46pm

“Of course, it is seems so calm up here,”
I don't mean to be someone who points out mistakes, but I just noticed that "is" isn't really necessary. This chapter was very heartbreaking, but very true of the time period. I'll miss Hannah, but I like the concept of Elizabeth and Tom being betrothed. I also really enjoy the flashback sequences. Overall, amazing chapter.July 18th, 2009 at 11:56pm -

There was a typo, I can't remember where or what it was... sorry. But I love how well you portray emotions and historical facts into every single chapter. This story is incredible, and heartbreakingly true.July 4th, 2009 at 08:24pm

I don't really know what else to say except that I loved it. Your writing is brilliant as is this story.July 1st, 2009 at 09:18pm

Accuracy is always what I try for.- cynicalqueen:
- I was wondering when you'd mention some of the things about Anne.I'm glad this is actually somewhat historically accurate and not reminiscent of The Other Boelyn Girl. I find this so sad but so amazing.
My pet peeve with historical fiction is the innaccuracy that authors seem to think doesn't change anything.July 1st, 2009 at 03:03am
I was obsessed with them when I was younger
