Hands Down. - Comments

  • I admit I kind of had a fangirly moment the second I saw that the first word was 'Vincent' and realised this would be a Queen of the Damned-type fanfic. I'm very glad you told me about it. :tehe:

If it hadn’t been for the fact that he was playing a vampire, he was certain that he would appear to have contracted a fatal disease.
I'll admit I laughed at this line, but I'm not entirely sure if I should have. Fatal diseases aren't funny, but in this context it just can't help but be humorous.

Vincent smiled over at him, taking note of the brightness of his blue eyes before returning his gaze to the mirror
Ah, the first signs of his attraction to Matt. :tehe: I love the way you write little details that aren't too obvious, but they get the point across anyway. And as the chapter goes on they gradually get more and more obvious.

Matt was at a mirror, combing through curled locks, giving a small smile as Vincent passed him, licking his lips as he began to imagine the things they would be filming.
Naughty, naughty. This got me wondering what things they'd be filming exactly. My mind sort of wondered off...

    “Good. You don’t…feel…awkward or anything?”
I love how this bit was straight after Matt licking his lips. :XD

Matt nodded. “Okay. I’ll be there in a second. I just can’t find the necklace I’m supposed to wear…” he sighed, glancing feebly around the area. “Michael will have my head if it’s been lost.”
Aww, Matt comes across here as feeble and insecure. It's quite cute. He's definitely the woman when it comes to them as a couple (which they will be :con:).

Matt smiled widely at his co-star, letting him clasp the necklace around his neck.
I loved this part. It just really seems like something Vincent would do - put Matt's necklace on him. Again, Matt comes across as the woman. :XD

“Such a gentleman you are, Marius,” Stuart teased him, and Vincent merely chuckled softly, playfully narrowing his eyes at the man that was playing Lestat.
I totally didn't go "Wow" when I saw Stuart was in it. :tehe: Anway, I loved this bit. And Stuart does have a good point - Vincent and Marius do have similar personality traits, particularly when it comes his gentlemanly behaviour. Stuart also seems very much like Lestat here, as he teases Vincent.

There were so few, but he was sure he would forget when to say them.
    Vincent smelled absolutely amazing today.

Matt seems to be very distracted through-out the whole chapter, and most of the time it's because of Vincent.

Vincent delivered another line after that, but Matt could only watch his lips and pretend he was watching his eyes.
Probably one of my favourite lines out of the whole thing. I don't know why I loved it so much, I could just picture him being mesmerised by Vincent's looks so easily.

“I don’t think either of us would have had to force very much for another take,”
Oh boy, the flirting continues. :weird The way you do it, though...they're always so subtle about their feelings.

Occasionally, Vincent would lean over and say something in Matt’s ear if he couldn’t be heard properly, and each time, they both would laugh and then smile a bit more warmly at each other than they would if others were around.
Aw, they're growing closer! :tehe: I liked the whole time elapse part just before this, too.

Matt observed quietly, and this earned him a soft chuckle.
I like the repetition of Matt 'earning' those chuckles from Vincent. It's really cute, and it shows that Matt is purposely trying to impress him.

“Good.” He smiled shortly. “I’ve been meaning to talk to you…”
Ah, and here it comes! I just knew something great was about to happen when he said that. :tehe:

“Not really.” He smiled shiftily. “Just…” His gaze flickered to Vincent’s lips, which were curved in an inviting smile, and he couldn’t help but hesitantly reach up to touch the slightly tanned skin of the other man’s neck. Hearing a soft sigh, he licked his lips nervously, and then he allowed himself the simple pleasure of kissing Vincent once more.
In Love I actually thought when I first read the 'inviting smile' that it seemed as if Vincent's was inviting him to kiss him. :tehe: Vincent continued to play the gentleman, though, so Matt had to be the one to make the first real move, which was quite brave of him, even if it was obvious it was what Vincent wanted as well. They's so cute! :cute:

I could just picture the whole thing happening when they were filming Queen of the Damned, from the things backstage to the things on set and in their trailers. I loved it.

I do apologise if this review sucked. Sad It's my first.
Anyway, I can't wait for the next part.

  • Wow, wow, just wow.
This is amazing, you can feel the attraction between them.
    Maybe even see it.
    It's just wonderful.
    In Love

    EDIT: P.S
Still cannot believe the kiss wasn't in the movie. Disgust
    :XD
