I really love this story so far, it's refreshing to see Sam's thought because we never get that in the Mercy novels. It's refreshing and interesting. I am loving Celeste already and I think I've guessed what she is. I want to learn more about the relationship between her and Vincent.

The only problem I have spotted is with the tense, you switch from passt tense present tense sometimes. I only noticed that because I do it too.
