Okay so far I've only read the first chapter but all I can say is wow. This is seriously amazing, the way you describe everything it's all so clear in my mind. It's brilliant. Your writing is just amazing, you have a real talent. You have a real way of making the reader feel what you write and see it all so clearly. I think it's brilliant! :D So well done! :P I didn't even spot any mistakes! :P

  • ^^ Haha--yeah, I looked back at it later and wondered what happened to the end--too quick on the trigger! I think there's a little Jewish mother in me somewhere that just thrives on guilt... And what about Miss Randi? Well, there may be a twist or two in store for her as well!

Thank you for reading and commenting, hun. Hope all's well your way!

  • Oh...I see, when you last posted, it wasn't quite finished...

Good for Micah, finally trying to get something for himself. He's gonna be torn up by guilt, I know, especially since his dad doesn't really help his mom with their daughter. And what about Randi, hmmm?

  • She lives! I was just wondering about you last night. Totally awesome as usual. More, more!

  • Phwoar. That was breathtaking. Even in the midst of their struggles, you so sympthetically describe the two situations that the imagery I get of the two characters is beautiful.

I'm on tenterhooks for the next part.

    Amazing job, as always.

    Much love.

  • Aw, sweet! I see inspiration finally struck. What kinda wine was that magical potion, anyway?

*blown away* That was great, the descriptions of both Randi and Micah, dealing with their own personal hells. Amazing. Party on, Garth!

  • Fuck. Yeah. Lee is BACK!!!

I actually WHOOPED when I got the email saying this story had been updated!!

The first part with the boys talking in the bar was just so plausible! The conversation itself really made me feel as if I was there sat on another table listening in. No one captures the art of realism like you can. No one.

And Micah...oh boy.I've fallen for him big time!!! When I grow up, I want to be able to characterise just like you!!

Gah. I always say this, but there really aren't enough superlatives for me to express how much I enjoy/love/adore your writing.

    You're such an inspiration.

    Love you!

  • The Mistress is BACK! Sweet! Awesome chapter and a wonderful return. I'm so glad you're feeling better and able to put some of your considerable evergy into entertaining the masses!

    Love you, hon!

  • Shit, man. Micah is hot.

This was just Micah, her friend--there was no reason to get nervous just because he was so close to her now that she could see the flecks of gold in his sable eyes. And if she was imagining how smooth and strong the shoulders she had clung to while they were riding might be, well, that wasn't anything so out of the ordinary. And if her lips were parting to meet his, and her eyes drifted closed as she got lost in the softness of the kiss, it wasn't anything to get all excited about.

    Except that it was.

This was genius. Honestly, you can fucking write. I can't wait to find out what'll happen next! xx

  • Oh Gawddd Dammnnnn.....that kiss was pretty hot stuff! And like above ^^^ I could feel it from here!

To quote Mr Shakespeare..."there is a tide in the affairs of men..." I feel a big decision is about to happen, but whatever road she decides to take I know that it will be an AMAZING read :)

    Awesome as always!!

  • OMG...I could feel that kiss from HERE. Seriously, woman! Micah's got it goin' on! But poor Randi, having to decide whether to leave just when things are starting to heal up.

  • Chapter Six.

Verdict...aaahh, the chapter we've all been waiting for :) and boy it was worth the wait!

I'm SO glad you're back hun. They can all pretend that they know they're Green Day shit...but no one on here, including myself, can do Green Day like you can.

    Mucho mucho Kudos :)

  • Chapter Five.

Verdict...I've suddenly realised why Micah is a cool, cool guy...Micah P Hinson!!!! I've only just finished downloading 'Red Empire Orchestra'. I can't believe I didn't get it before with 'Blackbird'. And yet again so much reality is echoed through this story; when Randi was describing why she loves theatre I was just dying to scream "me too!"

Only you can manipulate emotions this way.

  • Chapter Four.

Verdict..."I don't speak car and driver..." lol but how I yearned to be sat in the passenger seat with Randi! Micah is a cool, cool guy!

    Fabulous.

  • Chapter Three.

Verdict...Oh you know Lozzles LOVES Poe!! I too found myself grinning at the end. I'm so caught up in this already.

    Amazing.

  • Chapter Two.

Verdict...your original characters are written so well that I forget this is fanfic! I loved the contrast between the two chapters.

    You're a true diamond :)

  • Chapter One.

Verdict...so gut wrenchingly realistic that I actually have a lump in my throat. Your descriptive talents are second to none.

This is going to break my heart...I can tell.

It's SO good to have you back my good friend.

  • Yet again, I am astounded by your descriptive powers and the emotions you bring to the page. That was the BEST chapter yet. Whoa....

  • Hi, new reader. :)
I love your writing so much- it's so descriptive and it flows together brilliantly. I found myself forgetting that this was a GD story at first, just because you've introduced your original characters so well. I feel like I can relate to them and that's amazing when you can make a connection with your readers with your words.
Unfortunately, there's a lack of well-written Green Day stories on here but you've managed to restore my belief that there are amazing writers out there who will do the boys justice with their plots.
    Well done, I'm absolutely hooked.
