loved it. it was sad, but it was still really good.
my dad & i are bi-polar, but not as severe as Frank's. the whole medicine thing is correct, some meds work for a while, but stop working & you have to switch. everything else is also correct, from what i have learned in health class in high school. & we really are like people who are not bi-polar. so, you did a really good job! :DAugust 8th, 2011 at 06:05am -

I really love the story. You have a nice writing style but some more details would be pretty awesome. ^^ But that's just me. And I agree with baysway. The shifts in mood aren't that quick but it just makes Frank how he is. And I absolutely LOVE how there are two points of view. Keeps it entertaining. Anyways, I look forward for more of this story. I really, truly do.October 6th, 2009 at 02:57am

Damn! I wrote a book on my first comment - lol. Anyway, I enjoyed the story but agree that it felt rushed in the end. If this was a true story, I certainly hope Frank would find the proper meds and that he and Gerard would enjoy a lifetime of happiness.September 17th, 2009 at 09:58am

Really enjoyed this first installment. You are not depicting a bipolar person accurately but this is just a story so I don't think it really matters. When you are bipolar, you are not fully aware of the shifts in personality as they happen. It is not like you say, "Oh, I'm manic now. I feel wired and like I can do anything." It just isn't like that. It is not like flipping a switch - flip depressed, flip manic. The depression is, of course, easily felt. There is no mistaking when you feel depressed to the extent that a bipolar person feels it. But, overall it is usually much more subtle than most people think but because they are not aware of the changes, they don't notice anything until the bipolar person is soaring so it just seems like they all of the sudden turned manic. Anyway, I look forward to the rest of the story. I don't think you should feel the need to change what you have already written because it does not have to be medically accurate to be an enjoyable story. And, in case you haven't figured it out, I am bipolar. I take meds to control it so now I can look back with perspective and recognize the symptoms I would have before a manic episode.September 10th, 2009 at 09:03pm
