The wedding with Tanner and their best friends was perfect. They wrote their own vows and had all the people they wanted to be there.
Wonder if they did stay home with Tanner or take him on their honeymoon.
Can't believe Tanner's already one but, good idea to wait to have another one when they're still learning with Tanner.
I think the idea of Zach wanting a baby girl to take care of and raise was adorable.

So I'll tell you. THe title of this chapter alone is heartbreaking. Thanks Bri! LOL

My eyes took int he green and blue Olympic decorations, the various USA fans around me, Tanner's full head of brown hair, anything but the way Zach was bending over at the waist, wiping his eyes. - - Awww I know. How hard wa sit to see him like that. Poor Zach.

But knowing that they were an amazing team didn't take away the pain I felt when as I watched them with the gold hanging around their neck. It made me slightly ill to know that the USA had worked so hard to get here and only won silver, something that was still an accomplishment, but left little fulfillment in the eyes of the hockey players. - - This hits so close to home. Trying to be happy for the Canadians who are friends and players that you love and respect, but feeling like someone hit you in the gut at the same time. In any other sport the silver is something to be celebrated. For hockey it's just a lost game. Like a lost stanley cup, it's a lost gold medal. Sad but true.

He's going to be very upset, but if he says anything stupid; please tell me you won't take it to heart. My son may be prone to nasty words when he is upset, but don't let that discourage you from marrying him. - - this just seems so true about Zach. I'm glad his mom tries to comfort her.

"I'm sorry, Tanner. I'm sorry I didn't get you the gold." - - I swear this made me teary eyed. I really think Zach did the right thing removing himself from his family. It had to be really hard for him and for them, but it was a very mature thing to do. Taking time to heal before calling, all smart decisions. I'm glad Abbie was secure enough in their relationship that she handled it as maturely as he did.

I know what you mean about the game too, they interviewed Miller like right after they got their medals and you could see him wiping tears away when he was leaving. That game was heart breaking but, I respected both teams beyond belief. My heart did wrench reading the Olympic part in the story, bought back the feelings.
Anyways, I think it's good that Zach had the road trip to clear his mind from the loose. No one even saw Team USA as a threat entering the Olympics but, silver is pretty good. Gold would have been amazing. Can't wait for them to get married, thinking that Tanner would want a baby brother/ sister soon. Tanner is precious, sad to read about him during the gold medal game but, so heart warming to read about him watching Clifford and finally having his little teeth poke through.
Can't wait for more. Update soon, please.

Omg that gold medal game was so hard to watch I literally forgot to breathe the entire game. I'm still suffering from Olympic fever it was crazy here. Canada winning was bittersweet for me yeah Im proud of my country but the USA deserved it just as much seeing Zach so sad broke my heart.

I swallowed loudly, letting my little boy enjoy the screams and flashes of cameras as I tried not to upchuck my dinner. - - I felt a little like this when I watched and I don't even know the man.

That came from the tattoo he had over his heart with Tanner's name in scrawled letters. - - OMG how adorably sexy is Zach having a tattoo like this.

ach's blades chomped into the ice, bringing him closer to Martin Brodeur his hands stick handling quickly. He did a quick fore hand to back hand once he got close, ripping the shot high on his blocker side. It hit the back of the net and I screamed loudly - - I totally like your version better. Rafalski didn't need both of those goals. LOL

"Daddy misses you so much even though you're right here." He whispered softly as I smiled, tears pressing against the back of my eyes. Watching him with Tanner was so sweet. It was the way he cared more about his son than anything else; hockey never, ever got in the way of Tanner Parise. "I love you buddy. I'll see you soon, okay? You won't even have time to miss me." - - Zach is the most adorable father ever. I love the way he is with Tanner. So freaking adorable.

Can we get married first?" I asked him, pointing a the ring on my left finger.
"Of course, only five months." He winked. - - YAY!!!! Can't wait for the wedding. I knew you'd give me a wedding. THANKS!!!!!

"I know," Zach responded as Tanner wrapped his hand around his fingers squeezing tightly. "But he is only the first of many." Zach winked at me as I widened my eyes, giving him a look. - - I knew Zach was going to want tons of kids. :D
