I found that an amazing concept and style of writing a nonfiction, each character's traits made for really addictive reading, the chapter's were brilliant, although my favorites were sunset and demolition. You are a truly amazing writer.
I read some of your MCR stuff. I am a very big MCR fan. I love the fan fics but I also love stuff like this. Based on the songs and meanings and things. I think youre very ambitious for doing something like this. Its pretty hard and everyone has different opinions on what the lyrics mean. Thats one of the reasons why I love their music so much. Every time you listen to it you can pick something else up, or see it from a different POV.
I myself have incredibly strong feelings on what I think each song means, or the general feeling of it. But I still love to see what others think. Its interesting you know?
So I read through few different ones, in no particular order. And I just had to leave a comment on the Skylines one. - Now I never ever and I mean EVER, comment on anything remotely related to that day, not journals, not blogs, not stories. In fact I try not to read them at all, but I was curious as to your take on the song and now that I read it, I just feel like its only fair for me to say something about it, about my thoughts on not only your piece, but on the song.
I did love the angels pov. That was not what I was expecting. Honestly I thought it was gonna be about maybe someone there. I dont know. Thats usually what they are about so I was a little eh about reading it, but Im glad I did.
For me the most important line in the whole song is "And if the world needs something better, lets give them one more reason now." To me its more... People say the world needs to be better, they say it all the time. Everyone says it and no one does anything about it.
Lets give them one more reason now... you said it best in your line "We will walk in single file, we light our rails and take them home after we punch our time out and carry on like this was a fatal error in the script of life. We ride escalators colder than a cell." I loved that line. Excellent imagery there...
Something awful happens and yes, I know- life goes on. But people can act like it didnt. Carrying on like nothing with their lives...
But for those who were there. in this moment we cant close the lids on burning eyes. Those who have the images burnt into their eyes, like butane on the skin, you cant just let it go... People are just so numb to violence and tragedy that it's really quite heartwrenching. It will reach in and tear your flesh apart That is if you still have one inside that cave you call a chest
And then hes says youre not in this alone that there are others that feel the same way. But where do we go from here? And I honestly wish he wrote another line answering that question, cause I just dont know...
But after seeing all we saw... knowing what you know... Can we still reclaim our innocence? I say no. Once your eyes are open you can never shut them again... I mean you know war. You know death. Once you see the horrors of humanity you can never go back and reclaim your innocence... I'd love to be able to go back and see the world as I use to.
Hello angel where are you? I loved how you based your story on that line. Like her (or him) saying Im here. But I cant help you... "I am an angel yes, but it is not my time or place for salvation, only collecting what souls be lost today, a dreadful task for a dreadful day." That was my favorite line in the whole piece and it just made me cry... (so thank you)
wow, the DL chapters were pretty intense. I like when people use the real meaning of the song, (not like those who have a story called "Demolition Lovers" and it's osme stupid Frerard or something)
Cubicles made me wanna cry....because...well if you read my one-shot called "cubicles" you'll know why. that song has such deep meaning to me.
When the first part to Early Sunsets finished I was literally gripped on the edge of my seat going 'fuck ohmygod, WHATS GUNNA HAPPEN!!!!!' lol. Zombies are so cool!!!!
I like it. Especially the fact that you went in backwards order of the albums. XD The black parade will always be my favorite. I kinda wish you had a plot-based-on-one-character-or-set-of-characters for this, but I still like the way it's working. And I won't complain if everyone's favorite parade leader appears at some point.
Wow, I loved that chapter. It's true how certain events can make you think about yourself, that's how I felt when I came out.
It was also sad, because the last time they saw each other, they didn't really leave each other on good terms, and then Darien died in such a horrible way. It's sad to think that sometimes people would commit hate crimes like that
