  • First off, I just want to thank you for entering the contest. I really appreciate it. :)

I'm not sure if you've read any of the Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice, but the beginning paragraph really reminded me of the main character, Lestat. He always has this somewhat condescending tone he uses and although the main character of this isn't as bad, I still get that vibe. I love however how you've given this vampire the emotion of loneliness, especially since a lot of newer vampire books don't seem to have that. I also love how you added in Jessica, to supplement the loneliness. It's actually sad that Frank trusted her and then she killed herself.

William was the next. When you are immortal, you seem to loose preference in which sex you find attractive. That also reminds me of the Vampire Chronicles. Vampires are a very sensual race.

You've done such a good job of describing how tough being immortal can be. Whenever someone says they'd die to be a vampire, I can't help but wonder how it would feel to watch everyone you love die before you. You've definitely brought across that.

I always love when people write a really good, awkward Mikey character. And you do know that I have a soft spot for Frikey, so that made me smile. I was actually wondering earlier why Frank had never tried to turn anyone so I'm glad you explained that.

That ending was adorable, although I must admit I was a little surprised that Mikey seemed so non-chalent about being turned into a vampire. Nonetheless, it was still adorable. I'm not a huge fan of vampire stories, since most of them are just trying to be Twilight clones but this was really adorable and you definitely used the prompt very well. :)
