In fact, I did not see her losing her voice at all. I really liked it. I've never read anything about her, but I think you took a commonly known figure and made her all your own, and I really liked that.
I think that her relationships with the guys were interesting. It was obvious that she wanted their attention, but she wasn't getting it. It maybe made her seem a little needy, but what girl isn't? It made her more real.
