I happen to love this even though it's a het- you've got a gift, obviously, to keep me interested in a het with William Beckett nonetheless. I love the way you worded this, it's perfect and gives you an idea of the story without telling the reader in a completely blunt fashion.
The only thing about this was the ending, I find suicide over love so retarded, but you know me- I don't have tolerance for a lot of people's emotions. Either way, I loved this story, suicides or not.
AND I know you don't prefer Sputter, but you did a good job with it. (:
