Speaking as a person who actually has Asperger's Syndrome(which is similar to autsim) having your mom be late to pick you up, is extremely scary, especially when you're used to being picked up on time and they're late by over ten minutes; I'm sixteen years old, and I still get pretty upset when my mom is late in picking me up, but I just choke back the water works, haven't cried at school since the third grade, and I plan on keeping it that way.
Kian kind of reminds me of when I was younger, I've now gotten the skills to act as a fairly normal teenager though. So yes, you have done a good job at keeping Kian very believable. :)
