That was fantastic. I know you're used to writing huge, sweeping chapters that work into even larger stories but I thought you did really well with fitting an elaborate story into one chapter. I don't know if that was one of your concerns but it needn't have been. You did fantastically with it.
I loved the interaction between the two. The smarmy remarks and flirting, the tension between them. I didn't have any problem seeing Matt really react that way to getting kidnapped. If they had shot him, he'd have continued to insult her while drowning in his own blood. And his poor, hurt male pride at finding out he wasn't the target. The look on his face would be priceless.
And please, your smut is high quality. I don't even want to hear differently, I'll stick my fingers in my ears and scream some very annoying song. Speaking of, her trying to answer the radio was hilarious.
All in all, it was amazing. Completely worth the wait and extension. It did not fail in any way whatsoever.
