At first, when I read "I cried that night ..."
I thought you had switched POV's from John's to Eve's.
But long behold, it was John, indeed, who was doing the crying ...
And hiding from the world. That shocked me.
I was even more surprised when I read that the guys had brought her to
His house, and she was just standing there.
I honestly don't know who I'm hurting for more: John or Eve.
John, because he seems so confused, yet sure of what he feels for Eve and that's it real.
Eve, because she's given what little she did have to John, but yet,
It was such a big thing and then to think that she's not good enough for him ... Sigh.
I loved how you had her say, "This isn't a Nicholas Sparks book. I don't have any hidden
Talent or secret ..." Because it's just true. She's just plain Eve, like most of us
Are just plainly ourselves.
I really can't wait for the next update! I'm anxious to see what John does! (:
