I'm actually glad you didn't use this for a sequel and kept it in here.
Sam is a hypocrite... I don't think I like her very much. After the way she expressed herself when talking about Brian and her sneering and instigations ... I just don't like her. And the fact Ali has been with Chris all this time gets me even more. I would have dumped that fucker a long time ago. All those 'friends'
I know that Chris will just go back to his old violent ways as soon as he finds out Brian is back in the picture. Not only that, Ali will gain Sam as an enemy because of her new-found interest in Brian..... ohhhh, love triangle... actually love square because Chris will be there as well.
This story is engaging and refreshingly original. It's definitely a cut above 90% of the stories I try to read on here. It has an actual plot, a female character who is not a total lovesick loon, and you did a good job at making Brian really bipolar. It's funny sometimes the things he does or says, cause it's so not normal. I love the way even though she is 18, she's woman enough to give him a reality check. But I can understand if she doesn't want a relationship like that. Needy people scare me. I fear that nothing will ever be enough for them, because they haven't learned to love themselves and be okay alone yet. I kinda don't want someone else's entire mental wellbeing in my hands, cause hey, I'm a good person but I'm not perfect. And I have my own issues. So I can't wait to see how she's going to handle the relationship now.
I love the originality of this, ah. Allison's friends are true jerks and after that, I wouldn't want to have anything to do with them. So I hope she forgets about them. Because what Brian said is very true... better no friends than people like that.
And it is indeed a long chapter, but I like long ones where many things happen. Please tell me this is more than one chapter....!
I want to know why Brian doesn't want to be recognised.... ahhh.
References, references... haha. :)
Ah, I was like, "Eight years already went by?!"
