*heart* That was so awesome. I was expecting the worst, but man, that was just about the sweetest thing I've read in a long time.

That was amazing. How so much is told in just that short piece of text. You certainly have a knack of writing these things : ]

'They had been walking for mere minutes when it happened. A sound from nowhere, ominous and foreboding, but so quiet and far away. Not damaging…yet.

Others tore through the air seconds later. These echoed louder now, closer…again they became subdued and harmless. The peaceful silence returned once more, relief to ears numbed by thunderous screams.

    It happened suddenly.

A burst of repetitive sounds, short and staccato, louder than screams, a flash of cold fear, a glint of scarlet-

He never turned before it struck him.

Arms encircled his waist. He grew frantic, unable to discern the reason.

“Thank you,” whispered a tiny voice. He glanced over his shoulder, craning his sore neck too far.

She released her hero all too soon, a flicker of a smile on her face as she turned to run, footsteps mimicking gunshots, untied shoelaces slapping the pavement like bullets.

Bullets he’d fired so long ago.

    Bullets that saved her life.'

Alright. I'm not even going to say it. Okay, nevermind. I'm going to tell you my feelings for this.
    Brilliant.
Summed it up in one word. I mean - God Almighty. The emotions are so raw, it's unbelievable. 'A burst of repetitive sounds, short and staccato, louder than screams, a flash of cold fear, a glint of scarlet-

He never turned before it struck him.'
That. Is. Amazing. [/quoted from our chat. xD]
Like I said, I'm not going to write a seventy five page essay on how you are the most influencing authors on this site, but I want to. You are my favorite author. Hands down - and I mean it.
No one can write like you can.

You make Edgar Allen Poe turn over in his grave, I mean, and it's a miracle, seeing how you're such a tourmented child. Bahaha.
You're too spiffy for words that aren't your own, horsie. =]
