I definitely cheered for the main character in this. Again, this was in its own way a "happy" fic since it ended victorious.
Honestly, this is one of my favorite drabble/short fics. It's a bit frightening and dark but with such a triumphant ending that things seem so much better. He won, and that makes all the difference to that character.
Speaking of characters, he was very very well developed. He was real, though he was only in the words on the screen.
