I was getting close to crying when you explained the parts about Eric and Cancer. But then it got all happy and I was smiling so much! You truly have an amazing talent!

You did it right, and it was nice.
I like how the story wasn't just about photography, but you also added in personal information (cancer).
It made the story much better because it wasn't a simple story line about a boy that loved photography. He had a reason why he never left his camera alone: He wanted to make memories.
