Guh, Brooks Laich makes my knees weak. Easily the sweetest man alive. This is an interesting take on his personality because the one time I've run into him, like literally - haha, he was nothing but congenial, but this is different, well-written, and I really enjoyed it :) I cannot wait for the next installment.

BAH! Brooks Laich! Yessssssssss. <3 Okay, so I hate the Capitals. I mean completely, utterly despise the Caps. And its reasonable because I'm a diehard Caniac, but STILL. How can anyone NOT like Brooks Laich? He's adorable, has a great personality and unlike some of his teammates *cough*OvieGreenBackstromSemin*cough* he doesn't make obscene gestures at fans of the opposing team because he thinks its funny. Brooks is one of my favorite players in the NHL and now that you've heard my background about why I love him, I'll actually get into what I think about the first installment of this three-shot.

LOVED the plot idea. Perfect way to be a "I seriously hate you before I totally fall for you" kind of plot. Those are my favorites. Sometimes it gets a little boring when the characters love each other right off the bat, you know? Very Brooks-like (haha) to be a jerk about wrecking his car and being pissed because he's missing a date with some hot chick.

“Don’t worry, I’m not looking for sex. I get enough of that as it is,” HA. HA. HA. That is perfect. I mean, soooooooooooooooooo perfect. I almost died laughing, but its so true.

I'm very interested in the Elaine character. She's someone that readers can relate to, which is the best way to hook readers on. Must admit, though, I had more of a Brooks point-of-view feeling. I'm not sure if that's what you were going for, or if you were trying to be more of a third-person omniscient and maybe you were going to go more into Elaine's character more in the next chapter or something. Either way, what you did write was really great and really had me interested within the first couple paragraphs. Really bummed when I got to the end and was all, WTF? ITS OVER ALREADY?! Can't wait for the next chapter!! Love Brooks and I'm really excited about this. There really isn't that much of him on this site... :(
