Ok finally read this and I had to reread the last 2 chapters because I almost thought the Dunc dreamt that Lydia didn't come back to him. This was absolutely amazingly and can't wait for the sequel!! Poor Dunc but the truth was, she did love him.

I finally got around to reading this story and literally could not stop reading it. Honesty I loved how the ending/epilogue was definitely not what I expected. Awesome job with the story! :)

OH MY GOD. Best story I've read on this site, hands down. Just spend an entire day doing nothing but falling in love with Duncan Keith and Patrick Sharp, no lies. Damn, I'd love to go comfort Duncs, haha. I was so Team Duncs, but I knew she'd end up with Sharpie. I think you need to do a sequel in which Duncs finds someone, because he's such a perfect guy and I'm so in love with him. Also, props to you for talking about him at Michigan State (though briefly). I go to MSU, so I love hearing about my Spartans in fanfactions. Loved it! Keep up the fantastic work!

Oh my god!! I've been reading Deserving Ellie and had seen all these comments about this story and I finally decided to read it. HOLY CRAP! That was hot stuff, but I am so glad that Sharpie did not really betray her. I wanted them to get back together so badly but I also didn't want her to be the girl who takes back the cheater, even if it was just sex that he didn't remember. Phew. Wow. That was crazy!!

I'm Delia and I just want to say, I was rooting for sharpie the entire time. I had a gut feeling that Lydia and Patrick would be together. Could you please do a Claire and Adam spinoff? By the way, check out my profile and my story the life as miss Delia. Great story!!

I read this story a while ago an never commented for some reason...but I loved it and reread it today for kicks. I have to admit i normally can't stand when people get back with a cheating partner both in real life and stories, but i fell in love with patrick and lydia as a couple that i made an exception so I'm totally glad how the story ended both as a dream and if it wouldn't have been...Also I would just like to add you NEEEED to write about Claire and Adam I would kill to read it and l'm definatly not the only one... PLEASE!!!!!!!!!

Okay I wasn't expecting it to be just a dream. I was soooooo sad that Lydia and Duncan didn't end up together, but I also kind of wished that Patrick didn't betray her because they seemed perfect for each other before he did. This resolved everything, sort of, although I feel bad for Duncs. I think that you should do a Duncan Keith story because I definitely did not get enough of him. =D Great story, with an even better ending! I wish I had vivid dreams like that.

GENIUS!!! I never saw that coming,,,.but that's kinda the whole point, huh? That's what's so great about your writing, you always have something up your sleeve, I was totally for Duncan and Lydia (even though she still obviously loved Sharpie) and I was wondering how you were going to end it without her looking bad for breaking one of their hearts.....but it all being a dream..........now that's just, well......GENIUS!!! Loved it!

just read the story and i was a team keith supporter... kinda hate she ended up back with sharpie but oh well...love is love, it makes us do stupid things.
I dont hate your story, just that what she did was what most women in love do and then they get burned again, and it sucks balls.

im not going to lie (mostly because i already told you lol) i'm an idiot, and didn't get the end. but now that i do (and you've explained it to me) i love it. its freaking awesome--great idea!!

I LOVED IT. you are a genius. it never happened. it was all a dream. all is right with the world, no one got hurt...and duncs has a little crush on lydia. awesome.

i can't believe lydia put adam in such a horrible situation. but i'm glad he finally slapped some sense into her ass!!

i guess when faced with a serious situation like she was, what she really wanted came out. she's been wanting to be with patrick all along but it took something drastic to make her admit that to not only herself, but patrick as well.

look at patrick, all selfless and wiling to let her go if it means happiness. its one of those things that makes you sick with pride. he loves her so much he's willing to let her go...it just shows how much more deserving he is to be with her than duncan. duncan loved her, okay. but it was selfish...and patrick's selflessness is the kind of love every girl deserves.

I wouldn't allow myself to think about the statistics that said many couples, whose marriages end in divorce, actually end up getting back together. What would the point of that be? I’d always live with an ache in my heart for Lydia, and sitting around with a deep rooted confidence that at any minute my ex-wife would walk through the door, well it just seemed unhealthy.-- awww sooo bittersweet. he really does love his wife...and he's done pretty much everything to get her back...he's gotta try and suppress the hope he doesn't want to give up

“You didn’t want them.” I replied to the voice. “I would have given them to you. I would have given you anything…everything.”--poor guy, he's so tortured by being in love with her.

“I don’t want a divorce,” she spurted, then fell into a heap on the floor sobbing. I didn’t hear her right. I couldn’t have. I was at her side in a split second holding her like I’d been longing to, letting her cry into me. “I went to your lawyers office to stop you, but you had already left. I can’t bear the thought of my life without you in it, without you as my husband.”-- oh my goodness it took her long enough to finally admit lol.

I was going to make love to my wife. MY wife. Not in the kitchen. In our bedroom. In our bed.-- yay!!

That’s when it hit me. Why she’d rung the doorbell instead of just coming in. Why she didn’t have her suitcase with her. She wasn’t coming back to me. She was coming to say goodbye.-- what a horrible, horrible realization. i feel for the guy.

a decision! yay! i'm so happy they got back together--i'd been team patrick since the beginning...but poor duncs. hs little heart is broken. yeah i know he shouldnt have gotten involved with her, but now that it's ending i'm sure it still hurts. she made the right decision. just took her way too long to finally make it.
