Nothing Left - Comments

This is obviously one of the most important chapters for the story's development, in the least the relationship between Kris and Adrienne, or lack-there-of at the moment. I thought that Adrienne, however, showed development in the sense that she wanted to incorporate Kris' name into her baby's name as a reflection of not only thanks for all that he'd done for her but, also for the importance that Kris will/has had on the baby and the environment he will grow up in.

I also though that the fact that Adrienne was stunned briefly by the hug showed how much she does need Kris because that hug allowed her to, "feel safe," something she hadn't felt in a long time since Luc passed away.

Kris' development obviously lay in the fact that he told Adrienne how he feels about her, and I think it's noble of him to be so patient now even when Adrienne never actually revealed to him how she felt but rather told him that she needed things to go slowly.

I'd like to see how these changes do end up reflecting on their actions around each other now that Adrienne (at least) knows how Kris feels about her. Great update!

It's nice that with the difficult times that Adrienne has been through recently that she's at least being able to settle into a routine at Kris' place. She really shouldn't let herself become too stressed even though her situation has been less than ideal.

I am curious as to how they could possibly develop any relationship past that of a friendship though considering Kris feels it would be inappropriate to do so and Adrienne doesn't feel ready for one at all even with her mother's encouragement.

It is nice though that Adrienne does recognize just how important and special Kris has become to her considering without him there she has no one within Pittsburgh to help her through the passing of Luc and the recent robbery of her apartment. I hope this realization does help her so that she knows she has someone she can rely on.

Great story, love it!

Kris is proving to be unbelievably reliable and sweet which, really seems like something that Adrienne needs right now. Kris has been her rock since Luc has passed and has been selfless as he puts aside his own feels for Adrienne's sake.

I'm glad that things will only get better for Adrienne now, she deserves some peace after everything she has been through.

The last sentence made my heart break for Kris 'there was no room in her heart for him'. That has got to really hurt; obviously both he and Adrienne are mourning the lose of Luc but, Kris is also stuck in a situation where he can never truly express his feelings for Adrienne without feeling like he was betraying his best friend.

This story is so beautiful amd touching! I can't wait for more! :)

I really hope things turn around for Adrienne soon. Glad that Kris could be there for her. Can't wait for more. :)

I think it's neat that it's actually Suzanne that is trying to encourage Kris and Adrienne to be together and help one another heal as well as attempting to push them together romantically.

It's interesting to read about 'Kris and Adrienne's' past though because we do get to read about a different perspective and foe just how long Kris really had been interested in dating Adrienne. It does make one wonder how things would be different if Kris had asked her out on a date before Luke.

Wonder how long Kris will keep his feelings for Adrienne being purely platonic?

I think that Suzanne is serving as a maternal figure to Adrienne and they need each other to heal from Luc's death just as Kris feels the need to take care of Adrienne and make sure the baby is alright.
Kris does all ha can for her though so I'm glad she apologized to him loosing someone hurts and you always want to find someone to blame but, it's good that she makes amends with him and asks him to be part of the baby's life. While Kris won't be a biological father he'll be a father figure and can help Adrienne and when raising a baby having people that are willing to help are key.
