This also reads lyrically. I was hoping this one would be really, really good because I have a particular affinity for Los Angeles. My favorite writer (Francesca Lia Block) writes about the city a lot and so I always look for it be poetically described. The first person with this peace was amazing and the first part of the sentence (prior to the long dashes) was the best.
