Wow, florence stole the words right out of my mouth! But yeah. Beautiful diction, lovely portrayal of emotions, and I really liked the real-life details from your living in Louisiana that you put in. The blend of realism and flight of fancy was lovely, and the way you repeated the beginning in the ending -- I couldn't have asked for a better ending. <3

I was really hoping people would appreciate it.
I used to live next door to a small forest with a bunch of fireflies in it, actually.
And I'm from south Louisiana.
So this was more personal than other stuff I've written.

Wow.... just, wow.
That was really beautiful.
I liked how it ended and and began, and also how everything just flowed perfectly to make a great plot even though it was a short story.
I also enjoyed the fact that the narrator ended up not marrying John. It made it seem more realistic, and much more emotional when she spend her last moments with the same fireflies of a first love.
