My Only Exception - Comments

I hail from the land of the comment swap. ;)

I just read the first two chapter, so that's what I'm basing my comment on here. The first thing I need to say is that you need to watch your grammar - a lot of sentences don't have periods at the end, and sometimes you write things like "moms" when it should be "mom's".

I feel like these chapters were a little rushed and it was a lot of information all at once. But that can be understandable, given that Cassie has just graduated high school and all of this has been dumped on her. In a way, it could be considered being thrown into the character's shoes. But like I said, it still felt a bit rushed.

A quick glance at the final chapter shows that you improved a lot over the period of writing this. The grammar definitely improved, and the final chapter is paced very well.

I like that you ended the chapter in such an open way, leaving room for a sequel (as I can see you're writing) or leaving it open to interpretation for anybody who didn't want to read the next story.

I don't feel like this is an overall great comment, but this isn't the sort of story that I can see myself getting into. Sorry about that. =( It seems like a really great and original idea, so I give you props for that! Good luck with the sequel. =)
