I LOVE this story! But a few words of advice from a bay area native:
1) we don't call people gits. That's quite Australian. If BMT or their respective kids/wives are gonna talk, they wouldn't say that. Sorry Aussies.
2) Just in case the Australians are like the British, we call cigarettes...cigarettes. In the US, fags are gays (slang-not nice-refer to Holiday)
3) some common things we say are like, ya know, and hella. Hella meaning "very", as in hella cool! FYI, hella is not used in serious situations, unless the people in question are very drunk/stoned.
