It took me like an hour to find a story that was actually decent enough to read and I came across this, I'm very glad I spent an hour looking. But I'm bummed you only have two chapters :(

I like your premise and your imagery is well constructed, you have a gift for that. Grammatically you switch a little between past and present tense in the latter half of the first chapter and there are some run on sentences. (I totally struggle with that myself!) But overall it definitely captivates my interest.
