Okay, I've been systematically reading through all your old stories, because you're one of my favourite Mibba writers, and this story is definitely one of my faves :) I don't usually comment when I'm reading completed stories (interrupts the flow of events, y'know :P), but I just had to say that Shelter and Latter Days are two of my top gay romance movies as well - no kidding. Great minds think alike, huh? ;) Oh, and if you still want movie recs, some good ones are Toast (2010), Borstal Boy (2000), Edge of Seventeen (1998). Enjoy :)

Gosh... just amazing as always! I said When In Venice was my favorite but I lied... this is my fav now!!! <3 BTW I love all of your work, old or current!!
After I read this I went and subscribed to every single one of your stories.
I cried multiple times while reading this because I just knew. I don't think ether one of them deserved what they got but the world is a cynical place. I'm really glad they ended up together.
Rory really is a good person overall and it absolutely broke my heart that his dream of Julliard wasn't possible. He has an absolute heart of gold and his love is so....pure. Even after he found out it was all Dexter he still loved him with the appropriate amount of anger and hurt. His character was definitely my favorite.
Dexter really had a big burden on him and I loved how it was so hard for him to break in in the first place. Not only that but he had an even harder time selling the things he stole. He only did it for survival and he still had tousle doing it. The world needs people like him.
Question, though. I'm just going to be annoyingly logical here but why didn't he just steal food? I mean, the kitchen was right there. I never really understand why people don't just steal the things they need. But I digress. That's just been my logic for a few years. It has absolutely nothing to do with you.
Um...anyway! When Dex left and thought that that was the best thing for Rory, I wanted to beat that man into a coma. But I guess I understood where he was coming from.
Then Rory found him and it was a happy ending! That's the best part of your stories!
I was pleasantly surprised at the ending too! Dex got a good job with Rory's dad and Rory got a job doing what he loves! And they're adopting!
