I highly enjoyed this! I love the way you describe things and the way your sentences flow. I'm also a sucker for stories with barely or no dialogue, which is usually hard to pull off without boring people, but I really think you did a wonderful job. It kept me wanting to read more, to really see if she was going to finish the race, so great job sucking me in, haha!
I hope you do well on your race, too! <3

I really liked this. I'm sorry to hear that you're having some trouble with your training, though. I know what that's like, and I hope you can overcome everything and get through it all!

I enjoyed it! I don't know what you were worried about. I like how you gave a timeline with the distances and incorporated the flashbacks and background into her running and the distance.

I like the "reflective" (as you say) spin you took. It let's you get inside the character's head and into deeper thoughts that people think about, but don't know they do. You know what I mean? And the fact that you wrote about something that's extremely relatable (at least to me) and not some far-fetched idea (which, I admitedly, do).

Personally, though, I don't like Brook Hogan or the song, but it fit for the story!
