I was curious, have you ever read Love is a Mixtape by Rob Sheffield. Everytime you update I think of that story immediately. If you havent, you should check it out.

This chapter was beyond adorable. I love how Jean and Billie are able to talk so easily with each other- their conversation just sort of flows. I think that's what serves to make them more realistic in my mind. I couldn't stop smiling over Billie's warped point system. Too cute! Plus I'd like to think that he's like that in real life. :)

Ahh, every story has to have The Bitch in it and unfortunately we found ours. I'm not sure if this girl is going to cook up more trouble for Jean and Billie. I don't like her already and she's said like four lines. I was proud of Jean for standing up for Billie though. Such an amazing girlfriend.

Two chapters to catch up on:)

I think, first off, I want to start off by saying that I'm glad you made Jean's first job not work out. I'm not sure why. I think it's because it gets irritating having the girl find a trendy job in a record store and it's so amazing and the owner's so laid-back and awesome. And then to have it not work out is just a refreshing change. I also like that she works at a bar now; it's a solid choice for a young person- to work at a bar, I mean.

Hmmm. I love how you described all of the people at the 'zine meeting. It all flowed together very well and was seemingly effortless and random side note: they all seem so interesting! I hope we get to see more from them.

My little black heart melted a bit when I read the ending of the first chapter. I think it's so adorable that Billie and Tracy worked out that cute little message like that. Also! I nearly died laughing at the end when Tracy told Jean Bartender's name. I agree with Jean though, it made things so much more interesting when he was just Bartender. And now he's plain old Larry. So not impressed, haha.

I, without a doubt, am undeniably in love with the way you portray Tre's character. He's just beyond hysterical and I love the little bits of humor that you've slipped into this chapter. It makes all of your characters that much more relatable and interesting to read.

And ackk! You're killing me with these adorable moments. I love that he's surprised her, that just makes my day. Billie's so frikkin' cute. I think, for never having a serious adult relationship, you're doing really, really well portraying one. You let us see into the dynamics of everything and it makes everything more relatable. I use that word a lot.

And again, I love that Billie and Jean can joke around with each other- it makes them seem more human. Oh! And I really like the line about Jean getting a zit. I don't know why. It just strikes me as a really good detail to have because well, we've all been there and had that one pesky little spot that just won't go away, no matter what we do.

Me thinks I have an idea with as to what's coming up next. And if so, I am beyond pumped. :D

It was really cute that Billie called and tracy recorded his message. You write the characters really well and I cant wait to see how this zine thing works out, or her new job, annnnd of course when Billie comes home :D

Ahh! I've had so much to catch up on. Secretly I was tempted to not read any of your updates until I got back home so I could have a massive Billie/Jean splurge and everything would be amazing. But I couldn't resist any longer, so here I am!

I have changed my mind about Tracy. I didn't like her at the beginning of the story, but now I think she's hilarious. A bit pushy and overbearing, but she means well and she's the one who got Jean back to Billie, so I suppose I'm sortof obligated to like her now. Grudgingly, of course! ;)

Jean's family is adorable. They're all so cute and sweet and inviting and I love that about them. There's the protective older brother, the seemingly fierce and stodgy father and the doting mama--I'll admit that Sammy was a bit of a shock for me to meet. She's such a drastic change from Jean and I think you wrote them like that on purpose? I'm not sure, maybe I'm reading too much into the parallels between the sisters. Regardless, I loved it.

I couldn't keep the smile off of my face when I was reading about Jean telling Billie that she loved him. She's a bit awkward and backwards, but I think that's what makes her so endearing and relatable. In my eyes, anyway. I can't get over how sickeningly sweet their relationship is- it makes me all sorts of jealous.

You write with this seemingly effortless grace and wit. It's rare to find someone who can pull off a story with humor woven as intricately as you. It resonates within all of your characters and leaks out into even your descriptions. I love that about your story. It keeps everything interesting and moving at a good speed.

There were a million other things that I wanted to say, but it's late and my brain is pretty much done for the night, haha. I'll try to come back tomorrow after I've emerged from my coma and elaborate some more on what I liked. :)
