I really liked the way it was written- you didn't know it was a speech until she pauses to blink.

I also thought the layout was really cool- I just felt that it needed to be said.

You also did a good job with the overall theme-which you come out and say in the last sentence. I liked how you made his life seem happy, but you showed how that turned out to be a bad thing.
