I liked the details you used in the first paragraph, although the rest of the story seemed to be rather lacking in these details. I liked how you've actually created a strong female character, and how she was able to find happiness in someone other than Adam. I loved how cold she was when she was talking to Adam, and how much it contrasted how she spoke to him at the beginning of the story, although that dialog did become quite angry towards when Adam was leaving, hinting at what was to come. It made the skipping forward in time to when Ella had Eric very believable.
