It seems fine. The plot and story line is still great in my own opinion. :D
There are the few grammatical errors still, but that can easily be changed and is quite minor. :)

Hey, it's me from Quizilla!
So far, I've only read about five or six chapters, but it's really enticing, intriguing, and makes me want to find out what will happen next! :)
I see no relevance to Vampire Diaries at all, but I find that it is a bit almost like Twilight in a few areas. For example, Stella and Bella rhyme. However, the name Bella doesn't sound as sophisticated and elegant as Stella to me, and Stella is just not a name that I, personally, don't hear everyday, so kudos on that for using a rare name!
Also, I find the way that Eric and Stella meet is like how Edward and Bella meet. They both meet in class which is very understandable because she's the new girl (very much like Bella as well), though there are no hostile or awkward feelings between Eric and Stella unlike Edward and Bella where he thought he was going to snap her neck in half and she thought he was weird for staring at her.
Charlie and Renee are divorced just as her parents are, but for different reasons.
The plot is very different from Twilight though, so I applaud you for that!
It's an incredible story so far and I can't wait to read more after I finish my homework! lol

Also, I noticed, just as Thief of Ardor did, a few grammatical errors.
