Goodbye. - Comments

This story was so sad, but incredibly well written. Like Audrey T said, it’s really impressive how you put so much into so few words; it really did seem like a full story as opposed to just a random moment in time. I feel so sorry for that man the entire time but that last line really made me feel for him – his love and his child? Absolutely tragic. The banner was really nice and I liked the coloring of the story layout even though it didn’t necessarily match the colors in the picture. I also liked that instead of a man walking out on his girlfriend while she was pregnant it went the other way which is a nice twist and very refreshing.

Content-wise, I thought this was really well suited for a drabble. I think it was great how you told this entire story in so few words and it was the right glimpse into the situation. The only think I would say is to watch out for unneeded repetition. I felt like this could have been trimmed down to an easy 100 words if you hadn’t kept repeating the same points over and over again. In doing that, the words and the sentiment lost a bit of their umph.
