You felt like this was rushed, not explained enough and I felt like this was one of the best pieces you have written that I have read recently. One of my favourites, that's for sure. I love the Lu story, but I didn't think it was that flawlessly written - there were things that bothered me. And then there was Mark/Eric story which I love, but for different reasons. And then there is this story, which is just wonderful. I love the way you make it real. Because sometimes you go too poetic, and it feels almost... strange, if that makes sense? But this flew so naturally, so realistically - and yet you didn't snap away from the poetic way of expressing yourself. I love endlessly the bird/freedom metaphor, and you should know, since the DK. And because you put it there, that made me love the story even more so. Paul was the kind of hero I actually could imagine killing himself - mostly because... I don't know, I feel like the kids that don't talk about problems usually take it the furthest. Regardless of the fact that Paul didn't have any problems that other people could see as problems. Even less so problems worth killing yourself for. And the teacher, I could see myself in him, in a way. I think the ending fit, too, and if you decide to continue, I will read it gladly. And hopefully you will manage to keep the atmosphere of this, calm, quiet, with danger lurking in the shadows. Great job, dear, great job.
