I haven't bothered to check updates in a long, long while and I just saw that you're re-writing the story
So far (in the first few chapters) there wasn't any change yet, I wonder what you're planning to do with this

I'm definitely not an Avenged Sevonfold fan, or at least I don't read the fanfiction centered around them ever[for some reason all vampire stories are about them, I don't know why]. But I clicked on this figuring it seemed interesting, then I saw Bat Country and was like dammit. But I continued reading and so far it's turned out a very interesting read. I've caught a few spelling errors here and there, nothing that can't be fixed with a quick once over throughout the story. Also, in chapter two where she's pretending to be asleep you make everything seem so clear and since it's in first person and her eyes are shut I doubt she'd know every single thing they were doing. Since she is most likely relying on sound, maybe hearing 'the scratch of wood against the floor, signaling a chair being pulled out" something along those lines. Otherwise, keep up the good work. :]

I like the layout as well.

This is definitely an interesting story. First off, I am in love with the layout and it's very clear that it took you some time and dedication to make it, so A+ on that.
I can very easily see this being a story found on the shelves in any book store. Your writing matches up to some pretty popular authors, and I must say, you blow the entire Twilight Saga out of the water. But I was never a fan of that series, so I may be a little biased.
This story is subtle, extraordinarily suspenseful, succinct, and easy to follow but yet leaves you wanting more and sitting on the edge of your seat, waiting to see what happens next.
I can already feel that this is going to be a gripping blend of romance and horror, and a risky relationship definitely in the future. Something like a dark romance that seeps into the soul.
I can feel and identify the depth of emotion shown in the main character. She's strong headed, patient as we know, sarcastic and strong. Definitely one of those 'Don't mess with me' kind of girls. Her strive to do what it takes to survive and still protect keeps her going against this clan of vampires, that, while are supposed to seem evil and cold-hearted, have a humorous and delinquent like attitude.
I look forward to reading more! : )

love the story but i have to say you do not update as often as i would like, hate to wait so long for the updates but enjoy them when you do post.
