It might be one extra word, but I really don’t think that it’s one word to many. This was wonderful.
One of my favorite parts is when you say your neighbor’s yard isn’t as green as yours. I had to crack a smile and giggle. It was funny and perfect because my neighbor’s yard isn’t as green as mine either.
;)
I think it flowed nice and it has a great meaning. You did an excellent job with your word choice and metaphors. I’m not sure you could have written this any better than it is now (not saying you were going to rewrite or anything) it’s just perfect.
This was an excellent drabble, with a lot of meaning. We get a look at the person whos narrating it and I love when I’m left wondering. What type of person is this? How hard has their life been?
I’m always hearing this saying as well at the restaurant that I work in. I’m sure no one wants to wonder how green the grass is over ‘there.’ We all want it.
As short as that was, it said a lot. It gave you understanding of the person and their thoughts, Even though not a lot about the person was given away. It was well written and straight forward. I enjoyed reading it.
