Fly Until You Crash - Comments

  • This was just absolutely fabulous, my dear Sidekick! :D
First off, you brilliantly described the characters in the show. I think if any of the script writers had seen this, they would be blown away by how well you grasped each character's personality.
Second of all, I love how your words flow, how you made Logan's thought consistent and not choppy, like many do hen they write about what someone's thinking. I really felt in tuned with Logan's thoughts, as if I was the one thinking it. I could picture everything he was thinking and feel what he was feeling. Your description was just that good.

I enjoyed this and you're an all-around beautiful writer :D
I shall go read your other BTR stories now that I know how amazing it is ; ) <3

  • This is honestly great. I never watched Big Time Rush, but this story just makes me want to. I have to admit the theme of fame and envy going together is a bit cliche, but the way you potrayed it was very unique. The character was very developed for the one chapter you have written, which takes a lot of talent.Overall I loved it.

  • it was kind of depressing to read. he just seemed so sad and upset with his life and he wasn't doing anything about it. it might have been better to end it with him preparing to make a change, instead of just describing his sad emotions. but the descriptions were pretty good

  • This was absolutely fantastic. I especially liked the first sentence:

Slivers of yellow light flickered across grungy metal walls, accompanied by violet revolutions and heart-jolting hip hop rhythms

I love how you appeal to the senses there, I particularly loved the 'violet revolutions' bit, it just sounded... amazing. In fact, this whole piece was amazing - Logan's character was portrayed really well and it was all very well described.

    Well done! :D

  • Even though I've never once seen Big Time Rush anywhere in my life (on screen or whatever), I really like how I can read your stories about them and still know who they are as characters. You don't rely on your readers knowing about the characters, and you choose to flesh them out yourself, which is exactly what you should be doing.

As for this paticular story, I think that you told a great one here. I love one-shots because it seems as though writers find it so much easier to pack so much emotion into a shorter piece of writing - you've definitely done that with this piece. Logan is such a relatable character and you've done a great job writing him.

    Amazing, amazing piece of work.
