Well for your first time doing original fiction, it was very alluring.
Most people don't understand how hard creating a completly new story can be, just like some don't think that writing fanfic is hard.
I think that you have started your story soundly. All i have to say is, don't allow it to get loose. You know what i mean? keep it flowing like that first chapter.
