I love this. I grew up hearing/reading about the legends of King Arthur. Though in the stories I've read, Elaine was much different. (She was slightly overweight, but beautiful, and tricked Lancelot into sleeping with her (she pretended to be Guinevere) and then Lancelot was forced to marry her even though he still was infatuated with Guivenever) I like your version better though because it puts Elaine in a better light. I never really liked Lancelot all that much--or Guinevere because she never discouraged him. Have you ever read The Mists of Avalon? It will really change your view on Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table.
